Are you interested in our research? Would you like to join our group? Thanks to the generous support of the European Research Council (ERC StG, 101077698), we currently have funded positions for both post-doctoral researchers and Ph.D. students.
Post-doctoral researchers
We are always looking for postdoctoral candidates with background in organic synthesis and/or self-assembly and/or photochemistry. Additional experience in the related fields of materials chemistry, physical chemistry, polymer science, or electrochemistry is very welcome.
Your application should contain: (1) letter of motivation, (2) a summary of the research during your PhD (and/or postdoc), (3) your CV (including a list of publications, posters, oral presentations, skills, and references) and (4) a research statement of the work you would like to pursue with us. Please send all documents as a single PDF via e-mail to luka.dordevic+recruitment<at>unipd.it.
Especially if you are seeking funding through fellowships (Marie Curie, STARS@UniPD, Branco-Weiss fellowship, etc.) or similar external funds your research statement should clearly state how your expertise (and experience) could generate synergy with the research interests of our group. We are happy to assist you with your application.
Ph.D. students
Students with background in chemistry or materials science are welcome to join our group. We are associated with the Ph.D. programs in Materials Science & Technology (MST) and Molecular Sciences at the University of Padova: candidates must submit their application to the respective Ph.D. schools (deadline usually in May) and not directly to e-mail, although you can contact us (ahead of the deadline - around March) if you would like to enquire about potential projects (luka.dordevic<at>unipd.it).
The University of Padova and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) have created a scholarship programme to enable talented Chinese students to undertake a PhD programme at Padova. Submission deadline for candidates with Chinese citinzenship is usually in December, so we advise you to contact us well-ahead of that time (luka.dordevic<at>unipd.it), so we can discuss potential projects.
M.Sc. students
For Master Thesis and Bachelor Thesis: Please send an informal e-mail to luka.dordevic<at>unipd.it. We are happy to talk about potential projects and show you around our laboratories. You can contact us anytime, but we advise you to do so as soon as possible, since we have limited space and we are accepting bachelor and master students only in accordance with free laboratory space in our group.
